Fix RDP freezing via Registry Editor. On the client machine, press Win+R to open the Run box. Type in regedit and click OK. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Terminal Services\Client. Right-click the Client folder and select New > DWORD (32-bit) value. Name the new DWORD as fClientDisableUDP. Please configure disconnected sessions to be automatically logged off, then monitor this issue. If this issue still exists, please navigate to: Applications and Services Logs-> Microsoft-> Windows-> TerminalServices-LocalSessionManager and TerminalServices-RemoteConnectionManager. Please check again if find any clue. I am having the same issue - since I've upgraded to version 10 of the Remote Desktop Client on Mac OS High Sierra, I've had nothing but problems with the client. I get stuck on the Please Wait screen, and the only way to get the remote connection back is to reboot my Windows machine. This is not an option when I'm trying to remote into my home.

Host is a VM Running windows 10 Pro, login always work from the machine itself, but via RDP (when DUO is set to work) client connection hangs either at an unresponsive Duo window, or at the purple “Please Wait” screen. Super annoying and kind of a big problem. Please FIX this. 3. I tried the Revert To a Previous Windows Build and it failed saying there was nothing. 4. I tried Safe Mode and it too got stuck at the Please Wait screen with the spinning dots. 5. I ran chkdsk at the command prompt in recovery options and it said everything was fine. 6. I try running sfc /scannow and DISM and they failed to run citing errors.

Needless to say, waiting didn't solve the issue, nor did retrying access to the.
